We are going to be a part of the million pillowcase challenge. This is a project that is near and dear to my heart. We have decided to donate the pillowcases to the Reno County Foster Care program. There are so many children from birth to 17 years old that are in foster care. If we can make a difference in just one child's life it will be worth it. We have had many faithful customers make pillowcases and deliver them to the shop. We have them on display at the shop.

We have been having a lot of great classs here at Demelia's Quilt Co. Some days I think we do more laughing than sewing, but at the end of the class we seem to get our projects done. Oh well laughter is good for the soul! We have been having a super time at our monthly Girl's Night Out events. If you have never attended you are missing out on the friendship, food and fun!! We will be open on Super Bowl Sunday from noon to 5:00 p.m. Come in and check out what we have to offer. Hint: If you go to our website and click on our newsletter tab you can get a coupon to use on Super Bowl Sunday.

I got to look at all the beautiful quilts at the fair yesterday. I saw lots of beautiful quilts made by Linda Domingo, Lora Lagree, Veann Liby, Deb Breer, Sharon Allen, Sharon Green, Irma Hall, and Margie Reed. Congratulations to those who won ribbons, and there were several.

I am in the process of trying to decide what classes to have next. I have had a lot of people inquire about paper piecing, applique and beginning quilting. I will try and accomodate those that are wanting to learn new techniques. I enjoy teaching those who really want to learn!
